TV Ratings: 'America's Got Talent' Continues to Dominate
NBC Universal, Inc."America's Got Talent" NBC's America's Got Talent ranked as Tuesday's most-watched and top-rated program, continuing its summer-long dominance. Though Talent (11.2 million total viewers, 2.9 rating in adults 18-49 demographic) slipped 6 percent, the summer reality series wasn't enough to power NBC for the overall demo win. Game show It's Worth What? (4.4 million, 1.1), which aired at 8 p.m., dipped 8 percent making it its lowest-rated telecast so far. NBC topped the night in viewers (8.9 million) and was second in the demo (2.3). It was Fox that was No. 1 among the ad-coveted 18-49 and 18-34 demos with Hell's Kitchen (6.3 million, 2.7) and MasterChef (6.1 million, 2.5); for the night, the network averaged a 2.6 in adults 18-49. Both programs were steady from the previous week with MasterChef delivering its highest tune-in ever. In head-to-head competition, Hell's Kitchen outperformed ABC's Wipeout (6.1 million, 1.9) by 42 percent in the demo. ABC's Take the Money and Run (4.7 million, 1.8) and scripted medical drama Combat Hospital (3.8 million, 0.9) were both down. A rerun of CBS' NCIS (10.2 million, 1.6) was 8 p.m.'s most-watched.
